It became known about 'secret proposals' on the US-Iran deal

The US and Iran are developing certain "secret proposals" for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including working on resolving the issue of the future of Iran's nuclear program, CNN reports.

Sources told the media that a final resolution of the conflict is "still far away." The outlet notes that the Americans decided to publish the signed memorandum of understanding without waiting for Iran's approval and to work out the remaining details during negotiations. Details of the working proposals remain secret for now, the media writes. Trump administration officials stated that they know nothing about any "additional agreements," but they acknowledged that there are some important documents that have not been made public, including a letter from the Iranian government to the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

One official described the written parts of the new proposals as "working" documents that both sides intend to "formalize" at the next stage of negotiations. Sources also told CNN that the "secret" proposals contain "more specific information" about American plans regarding Iran's nuclear program and other issues.

"Further steps are being discussed, but there are no final agreements besides the memorandum of understanding yet, and the American negotiating team hopes to reach a greater number of arrangements in the upcoming negotiations," White House press secretary Olivia Wales told CNN.

The media suggested that both sides may never reach an agreement that goes beyond the "relatively vague terms" of the memorandum of understanding.

On June 18, the US and Iran announced the signing of a temporary memorandum of understanding. Al Arabiya reported that it provides for a cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon, Iran's renunciation of nuclear weapons production, the lifting of US sanctions on Iran, and the development of a final agreement within 60 days.

US President Donald Trump said the deal includes the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's commitment not to possess nuclear weapons, and promised that if Tehran violates the agreements, the US will return to bombing.

On June 19, it became known that the negotiations between the US and Iran scheduled for that day will not take place.
