Second patient with suspected Ebola identified in Israel
Israel has identified a second patient with suspected Ebola fever. According to the press service of the country's Ministry of Health, the man has been placed in isolation at the Sheba Medical Center.
The patient returned from the Democratic Republic of the Congo two days ago and sought medical attention with characteristic symptoms: high fever, headache, and diarrhea. A series of laboratory tests are currently being conducted to confirm the diagnosis, with results expected in the coming days. At the same time, the Ministry of Health has launched an epidemiological investigation to identify all contacts of the patient.
Recall that the day before, on June 20, the first suspected Ebola case was recorded in Israel. This patient is also in isolation, and his tests are being checked. The department emphasizes that at the moment these are only suspicions; there are no officially confirmed cases of the disease in the country.
