US and Iran negotiations in Switzerland will take place in two stages
Technical negotiations between the US and Iran in the Swiss town of Bürgenstock will take place in two stages.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Bagai.
"Today in the afternoon, bilateral meetings will be held with delegations from Pakistan and Qatar, acting as mediators in this process. Later in the day, four-party meetings will take place between the delegations of Iran and the US with the participation of representatives from Qatar and Pakistan," he said.
The British newspaper Financial Times, citing sources, reported that first of all, during the negotiations, Iran and the US will discuss a ceasefire in Lebanon, in particular the mechanism for monitoring violations and maintaining peace in this country. Then the status of the Strait of Hormuz and Tehran's nuclear program will be discussed.
In addition, it is noted that discussions on the nuclear dossier may continue for several weeks.
