Israel does not intend to withdraw its troops from the security zone in southern Lebanon, including the Beaufort Castle area.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made this statement.

"Israel does not intend to withdraw troops from Beaufort, which is an integral part of the security zone in Lebanon and is important for the defense of Galilee and the IDF forces," wrote the defense minister on X.

"Israel will not withdraw troops from the security zone in Lebanon, as Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu and I have clearly indicated," Katz added.
