Iran confirms at UN opening of Strait of Hormuz for commercial vessels

The Strait of Hormuz is open for the passage of commercial vessels and international shipping.

This was stated by the permanent representative of the Islamic Republic to the UN in Geneva, Ali Bahraini.

"The Strait of Hormuz, of course, is fully open for commercial use, and this is happening without charging any fees," he said in response to the corresponding question at a briefing in Geneva.
