Magnetic storms possible on Earth
Geomagnetic disturbances that may intensify to low-level magnetic storms are possible June 24-25.
This was reported by the laboratory of solar astronomy at IKI RAS and ISZF SB RAS.
"Earth is passing through a 'sleeve' of fast solar wind today — visible on the animation. The speed has already been increasing since morning, but only slightly. Geomagnetic disturbances are possible today and tomorrow in this connection. With a probability of 1/3, it will grow to low-level magnetic storms," the message emphasizes.
In addition, moderate activity is observed on the Sun.
