Court rejects Robert Kocharyan's lawsuit against Alen Simonyan

The court rejected the lawsuit of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan against Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan.

Kocharyan demanded that Simonyan publicly refute the information published on June 14, 2025, on Facebook and Telegram, which he considered false and defamatory to his dignity and honor.

By court decision, 120,000 drams (almost $330) will be recovered from Kocharyan in favor of Simonyan as reasonable compensation for legal services expenses. In the remaining part, the issue of court costs is considered settled.

In case of voluntary non-execution of the decision, it will be executed through the Service for the Enforcement of Judicial Acts at the expense of the debtor.
