First terrorist attack in the history of the principality occurs in Monaco
Prince of Monaco Albert II condemned the first terrorist attack in the history of Monaco, as a result of which several people were injured, including Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Yermolaev.
29 June media reported an explosion in the entrance of a residential building in Monaco at 21:00 local time (22:00 Moscow time). Three victims are in serious condition. According to the country's state minister (head of government) Christophe Mirman, the incident is the first case of a terrorist attack in the history of the principality.
"The explosion that occurred <...> in Monaco was a shock to the entire Monegasque community," the official statement from the Princely Palace of Monaco said.
Albert II noted the "outstanding work" of the public security forces, and also expressed condolences to the victims, their loved ones and local residents affected by the terrorist attack: "Princess Charlene, my family and I want to express our deep sympathy and unwavering support to all of them."
