Media: two IRGC fighters killed in attack in western Iran

Two fighters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) were killed, and two more received gunshot wounds as a result of an attack in Kermanshah province, located in the west of the Islamic Republic.

Iranian news agency Mehr reported this, citing a statement from the IRGC press service.

It is noted that the incident occurred on Monday evening in the city of Paveh. Details of what happened and the identities of the attackers are being clarified, and an investigation is underway. The IRGC described the incident as a terrorist act.
