Trump: US has many ways to win in conflict with Iran
US President Donald Trump stated that he does not know whether the situation around Iran will return to a full-scale military conflict, but noted that the US has many ways to achieve victory in it.
Trump was asked about how likely it is that another escalation in the confrontation with Iran will lead to a full-scale military conflict.
"I don't know. We would win very quickly… We have many ways to win," Trump told journalists on board the presidential plane after completing his visit to Ankara.
On Wednesday night, US military forces carried out a series of powerful strikes on Iran. Iranian military reported retaliatory strikes on US bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, and Iranian authorities accused Washington of violating the memorandum on the cessation of military actions.
US Central Command (CENTOM) reported on Thursday that US forces struck approximately 90 targets in Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that in response to the US attack, it struck two US bases in Kuwait and two in Bahrain.
