Russian mass media widely covered the speech of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.

As AZERTAC reports, the statements of the head of the Azerbaijani state became one of the main international topics of the day in leading Russian news agencies and publications, including TASS, Izvestia, Kommersant, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Vedomosti, Argumenty i Fakty, the newspaper Vzglyad, Moskovskiy Komsomolets and others.

Russian media paid special attention to the statement of the President of Azerbaijan that relations between Baku and Moscow have fully normalized and continue to develop in a positive direction. The publications also noted the words of the head of state that contacts between the two countries are carried out at various levels: through the line of governments, the intergovernmental commission, the ministries of foreign affairs and the administrations of the presidents.

The statements of President Ilham Aliyev on the regional cooperation format "3+3" also received wide coverage in the Russian press. The media drew attention to the position of the Azerbaijani leader that this mechanism should deal with issues of the entire South Caucasus and become the basis of regional interaction.

Russian publications widely quoted the statements of the head of the Azerbaijani state on relations with the Council of Europe. The publications note that the President of Azerbaijan stated the possibility of the country's final withdrawal from this organization if unacceptable approaches and ultimatum demands for Baku persist.
