Black Sea remains zone of increased risk: Foreign Ministry appeals to Azerbaijani citizens
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued a repeated urgent appeal to the country's citizens to exercise maximum caution and refrain from traveling and seeking employment in zones of increased risk, especially in the Black Sea basin.
1news.az reports this, citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The statement from the foreign affairs agency expresses deep regret that, despite regular warnings, cases of Azerbaijani citizens being present in combat zones, as well as incidents of their injury or death, continue to be recorded.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the situation in the Black Sea region remains extremely unstable due to ongoing military operations, the use of drones, and missile weapons, which pose a direct threat to civilian shipping. Risks to commercial vessels and their crews in this area have increased significantly.
"We once again urge Azerbaijani citizens to refrain from traveling to regions where military operations are underway, not to engage in labor activities there, and to refuse work on vehicles, including sea vessels, operating on dangerous routes," the ministry's appeal states.
The diplomatic agency strongly recommends that citizens strictly follow official instructions and, in the event of emergencies, immediately contact the embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad.
