Peskov called the expansion of the Ukrainian conflict to Iran extremely dangerous

Ukraine, by attacking an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea, is expanding the geography of hostilities; this cannot be ignored, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

As the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported earlier, Ukraine carried out an attack on an Iranian merchant ship on July 25. As a result of the attack, one sailor was killed and another was injured.

"Of course, this cannot be ignored, that's how it is," Peskov told reporters, answering a question about whether the Kremlin sees a trend that Ukraine, with strikes on ships in the Caspian Sea, is expanding the geography.
