A polling station for the State Duma elections will open in Azerbaijan

Russian citizens in Azerbaijan will be able to vote in the State Duma elections at a single polling station, which will operate on September 20 at the Russian Embassy in Baku, the press service of the diplomatic mission reports.

"On September 20, 2026, from 08:00 (07:00 Moscow time) to 20:00 (19:00 Moscow time), voting in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the ninth convocation will take place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan at polling station No. 8017 (the consular department of the diplomatic mission in Baku – ed.)," the statement says.

The embassy noted that citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of 18 by voting day and who have active voting rights will be able to take part in the vote. "To participate in the voting, it is necessary to appear in person at the polling station and present a valid foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Prior registration is not required," the statement notes.
