Meta registers with Azerbaijan's tax system

The company Meta is undergoing tax registration in Azerbaijan.

As 1news.az reports, this was announced by tech blogger Farid Pardashunas.

According to him, advertisers will now be able to enter their VÖEN (TIN — taxpayer identification number — ed.) in their advertising accounts. This will make it possible to avoid the withholding of an additional 18% value added tax (VAT) from bank cards, as well as double taxation.

"In other words, Meta is becoming a taxpayer in Azerbaijan," he noted.
