Trump suspends 50% tariffs on Canada

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his social network Truth Social that he has suspended for three days the imposition of 50 percent tariffs on Canada.

«I have suspended for three days the imposition of the 50% tariffs on Canada, which were to take effect tomorrow morning, because Canada and the U.S., subject to the final agreement of the documents, have reached a deal!» the American leader wrote.

He also said that the Keystone XL oil pipeline project from the Canadian province of Alberta to the state of Texas, which was blocked by the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden, could be revived.
