Trump: Gasoline prices in the U.S. will be higher than before

In the near future, high gasoline prices will persist in the United States because of the war with Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump said this in an interview with the radio station WABC.

Speaking about the course of the hostilities in the Middle East, the head of state emphasized that "everything is going very well, but the press doesn't like to talk about it." He noted that the American people "see, appreciate and respect" the efforts of the U.S. administration to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. According to the president, the U.S. military essentially exercises control over the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, Trump acknowledged that energy prices would be "somewhat higher, including gasoline prices."
