Oil tanker attacked off the coast of Oman

A projectile hit an oil tanker off the coast of Oman.

This was reported by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) on its page on the social network X.

The incident occurred nine nautical miles (16.6 kilometers) northeast of the settlement of Ash-Shisha. According to the ship's captain, an unidentified projectile struck the engine room and disabled the tanker.

At present the crew is safe, and there is as yet no information about possible environmental damage.
