Ilham Aliyev congratulated the King of Malaysia
President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulations to the King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, on the occasion of the country's national holiday — Independence Day.

In his message, the head of state emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation and expressed hope for the further strengthening of ties:
"Your Majesty,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I am sincerely pleased to congratulate you and, in your person, all your people on the occasion of Malaysia's national holiday — Independence Day.
The current level of partnership ties between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, based on the established traditions of friendship and mutual respect, is gratifying.
I believe that the Azerbaijani-Malaysian interstate relations and our mutually beneficial cooperation, both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international organizations, will continue to develop and expand successfully.
On this remarkable day, I wish you good health, happiness and success in your high state activity, and the friendly people of Malaysia — lasting peace, well-being and prosperity."
