Putin: There will be no military base in Gyumri tomorrow if Yerevan is not interested in it

There will be no Russian military base in Armenia's Gyumri if Yerevan is not interested in it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at a press conference in Bishkek, RIA Novosti reports.

"If Armenia believes that the Russian base [in Gyumri] is not needed by Armenia, we will leave as soon as tomorrow. But is Armenia ready for this? Please, we will not impose anything on anyone. And if the Armenian people want some kind of Russian military wing to be there nearby, then we will stay, we will work, we will cooperate," the head of state emphasized.
