Pashinyan: No EAEU member state has sworn an oath of allegiance to the organization

No country that is a member of the EAEU has sworn an oath of allegiance, and each is free in its expression of will.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a briefing on September 3, touching upon the question of Armenia's possible withdrawal from the Eurasian Economic Union.

"And who said that all the EAEU member states have sworn an oath of allegiance, and that they will be members of this organization throughout their entire existence? Yes, a deadline has been set to make a decision. And in the event that we decide in favor of withdrawal, the structure must be informed 6 months before this happens. And we said that we follow this logic and proceed from this reality. Therefore, our position is such, and we are consistently working with our Russian partners to make this position more understandable and acceptable," Pashinyan noted.
