Trump announces restoration of oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump published an infographic on Truth Social, according to which the volume of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz has recovered to 18 million barrels per day, compared with 20 million barrels per day before the start of the conflict in the Middle East.

"Oil supply volumes through the Strait of Hormuz have recovered," the image reads.

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said earlier in an interview with CNBC that on September 1 oil supply volumes through the Strait of Hormuz exceeded 17 million barrels of oil.
