Tusk criticizes AfD supporters: Idiots and traitors

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk sharply criticized Polish politicians who welcomed the victory of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the state parliament elections in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.

"In Poland, only idiots or traitors can rejoice at the triumph of the AfD in Germany," Tusk wrote on X.

He accused his political opponents from the former ruling Law and Justice party, as well as representatives of the far-right Confederation and Confederation of the Polish Crown parties, of supporting the German party.
