Serbian President Vucic signs decree dissolving parliament

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has approved decisions to dissolve the current convocation of the National Assembly (the republic's unicameral parliament) and to call early elections for October 25.

"On the basis of the government's proposal, I am issuing a decree on the dissolution of the National Assembly. The decree takes effect on the day of its publication. I announce the holding of elections for members of parliament and set them for October 25," Vucic said during an address to the nation.
