Peskov: Putin and Trump discussed organizing a trilateral summit with China
Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump discussed during a telephone conversation the organization of a trilateral summit between Russia, China, and the United States at APEC.
This was reported at a briefing by the press secretary of the head of Russia, Dmitry Peskov.
“Certainly, <...> such a potential possibility was also mentioned earlier, and such a possibility will exist,” the Kremlin representative emphasized.
On September 8, the heads of state held a telephone conversation. The topic of their dialogue was an exchange of views on the results of the trips by the American president’s special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv on September 5–6. The results of the American negotiators’ stay were “assessed with a plus sign.” Work through this channel, as well as through some others, will be continued.
