Istanbul is ready to host new talks on Ukraine
Ankara believes that Istanbul remains suitable for continuing the dialogue on settling the conflict in Ukraine.
This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source in the Turkish government.
According to the agency's interlocutor, Turkey is convinced that the conflict in Ukraine can be resolved exclusively through negotiations.
"Istanbul has already established itself as a convenient venue for contacts between the parties, so Ankara considers it possible and advisable to continue the negotiation process precisely here," the source told RIA Novosti.
On September 5, American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The next day, they discussed the settlement of the conflict with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Witkoff stated that significant progress had been achieved as a result of the visits.
