Refrigerant leak on vessel in Busan: Russians injured
A refrigerant leak occurred on the Russian fishing vessel Kaltan at the port of Gamcheon in the South Korean city of Busan, injuring at least four Russian citizens.
This was reported by the Russian Consulate General in Busan.
"Four people were injured, one of them is in serious condition," the diplomatic mission's statement said. The injured are receiving medical assistance.
According to the Consulate General, the leak was recorded on September 15 at about 8:37 a.m. local time. The vessel was in the port of Gamcheon, located in Busan, the second most populous city in the Republic of Korea.
Russian diplomats are maintaining constant contact with the captain of the Kaltan and representatives of local authorities. The causes of the accident, as well as the condition of the other crew members, are being clarified.
