Brother of former Prime Minister Abrahamyan detained in Armenia

In Yerevan, the Anti-Corruption Committee has detained Henrik Abrahamyan, the brother of former Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the committee's press service reported on Friday.

"As part of proceedings into instances of abuse of authority by an official, aiding this act, committing forgery in office and using a forged document, the brother of former Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has been detained," the statement said.

Abrahamyan served as prime minister from 2014 to 2016.
