Pakistan strikes Kandahar

Pakistan's armed forces carried out a strike on the city of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan.

According to TOLO News, the strikes hit an area located near the city's ninth district. Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the channel that the attack caused no damage.

Later, Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the strikes were carried out in response to an alleged violation of the country's airspace from the Afghan side.

According to Tarar, the strikes were deliberate, precise, and proportionate and were limited to identified military facilities that are said to be directly linked to attempts to attack Pakistan.
