Nineteen militants killed in Balochistan

Pakistan's security forces have killed 19 militants in the southwestern province of Balochistan.

This was reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan's armed forces.

Counterterrorism operations against the groups "Fitna al-Khawarij" (formerly known as "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan," or the "Pakistani Taliban Movement") and "Fitna al-Hindustan" were carried out in the districts of Quetta and Kech. One Pakistani serviceman was killed in the clashes.

Amid the deterioration of relations between Pakistan and India, the country's authorities have begun to officially regard most of the terrorist organizations operating on Pakistani territory as Indian proxies and to use the common name "Fitna al-Hindustan" for them.

According to the ISPR, in 2025 Pakistani security forces killed 2,597 militants. During this period, 5,397 terrorist attacks were recorded in the country, resulting in the deaths of 1,235 people. More than 70% of the attacks occurred in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and about another 29% in the province of Balochistan.

Both regions have a long border with Afghanistan, where, according to Pakistani authorities, terrorist camps are located.
