Security Council secretary sees no threats to Armenia's sovereignty from Turkey

Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Alen Simonyan sees no threats to Armenia's sovereignty from Turkey.

"I do not see any threats to Armenia's sovereignty from Turkey. I do not see any threats, one could say, since August 8 (referring to the agreements reached on August 8, 2025, between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington – ed.)," Simonyan told journalists on Thursday after a session of the Armenian government.

According to Simonyan, there are no obstacles on the Armenian side to crossing the border with Turkey, and the process of normalizing relations between Yerevan and Ankara has not been halted, although it has slowed down somewhat.
