U.S. President Donald Trump allowed for the possibility of strikes on Iran before or after the United States Congressional elections, but declined to state that they would definitely be carried out.

Responding to a question on the matter from a Fox News anchor, the president noted: "I wouldn't say that. I mean, it's possible, but I just don't want to say that."
