Kazakhstan calls on Ukraine to stop attacks on the republic's vessels in the Black Sea

Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi has called on his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha to prevent drone attacks on Kazakh vessels in the Black Sea.

Tleuberdi told the outlet ulysmedia.kz about this after meeting with Sybiha on the sidelines of the session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

"First of all, with the Ukrainian side we spoke about the need to prevent drone attacks on our vessels in the Black Sea from now on," the head of Kazakhstan's foreign policy agency emphasized.

He noted that in New York he held bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of several states, among whom were both Sergey Lavrov and Sybiha. "We discussed with them our relations in the context of the ongoing conflict," Tleuberdi said.

Earlier, the head of Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry stated that Astana condemns the repeated drone attacks on the infrastructure for exporting Kazakh oil, as they endanger civilian shipping, disrupt international trade and threaten the stability of global energy supplies.

The CPC pipeline system is the largest route for transporting oil from the Caspian region to world markets. The 1,500-kilometer-long trunk pipeline connects the fields of Western Kazakhstan with Russia's Black Sea coast, where the oil is loaded onto tankers via the CPC marine terminal.
