Lukashenko advises Armenia "not to put the cart before the horse"

The head of the Belarusian state, Alexander Lukashenko, advises Armenia not to put the cart before the horse in its aspiration to join the EU.

The president of Belarus said this at a meeting with the heads of government delegations taking part in the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, a BELTA correspondent reports.

"If you have decided on the European Union, well, why are you in a hurry? Clearly determine where they will take your cognac, where they will take your vegetables and fruits. In what volume. Will you be able to replace what you are selling with us today. If you are convinced that France will buy your cognac (it has nowhere to put its own, but it will buy yours), fine — go. Why are you running? Why are you putting the cart before the horse?" the head of state said.

"There is no need to rush to throw away what benefits you today. There is no need to leave this common market," the Belarusian leader urged.
