Pashinyan considers dialogue with NATO important for strengthening regional security
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Kevin Hamilton, emphasized the importance of cooperation with NATO to strengthen security in the region.
This was reported by the press service of the country's government.
The Prime Minister congratulated Hamilton 'on assuming the position and stressed the importance of cooperation and close dialogue between Armenia and NATO to enhance security and stability in the region,' the statement said.
The interlocutors discussed a range of issues related to the Armenia-NATO partnership agenda. In particular, they addressed prospects for developing cooperation, as well as the effective implementation of programs in areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on the regional security environment, existing challenges, and efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability.
Hamilton noted that NATO attaches great importance to its partnership with Armenia and is ready to continue cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
