Tehran warns of immediate response in case of U.S. attack
Iranian Armed Forces are in full combat readiness and will immediately strike 'pre-determined targets' in the event of a U.S. attack.
This was stated by the official representative of the Central Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) 'Khatam al-Anbiya,' Ibrahim Zolfaghari.
'Our capable and powerful forces have long been in a state of one hundred percent readiness,' Iranian media quoted him as saying.
Zolfaghari added that in the event of 'aggression and any actions against the Islamic Republic,' Iranian forces will 'immediately and powerfully strike pre-determined targets.'
This statement came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the extension of the ceasefire regime with Iran. At the same time, the naval blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect.
