EU prepares resolution on supporting Armenia's resilience
The European Parliament will hold a discussion from April 28-30, followed by a vote on the adoption of an EU resolution supporting Armenia's democratic resilience.
As reported by Armenpress, this was stated in a message published on the European Parliament's website.
It is noted that the discussion of this resolution takes place ahead of the parliamentary elections in Armenia scheduled for June 7.
"During the plenary debates with representatives of the European Commission and the EU Council on April 28, as well as in the accompanying resolution on April 30, Members of the European Parliament will emphasize the need for voting free from external interference and express concern over Moscow's attempts to spread disinformation and influence the election results," the message states.
It is also noted that the European Parliament will call for intensified efforts to strengthen Armenia's overall democratic resilience.
The Council also recalled that the EU recently launched a new civilian mission to support Armenian authorities in building capacity and combating multilevel threats, foreign interference in information processes (FIMI), cyberattacks, and illicit financial flows.
