Lebanese Ministry of Health: Death toll from Israeli attacks reaches 2,509
At least 13 people have been killed in the past 24 hours as a result of Israeli Air Force strikes on southern regions of Lebanon, despite the ceasefire established on April 17.
Another 30 Lebanese citizens were injured, the Ministry of Health of the republic reported.
"The total number of civilian deaths since the beginning of the military escalation on March 2 has reached 2,509, with 7,755 injured," the ministry's report, distributed on X, stated.
The Ministry of Health expects the number of casualties and injuries to rise, given that Israel continues intense bombardments of populated areas and infrastructure facilities.
Earlier, the Ministry of Interior reported that Israeli attacks on the southern province of Nabatiyeh on Sunday caused a mass displacement of residents from dangerous areas to the north of the country.
