The 21st package of EU anti-Russian sanctions will focus on increasing pressure in the energy sector.
This was stated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
“The 21st [package] is being prepared, and it will be quite tough, especially with regard to energy resources,” the head of the ministry said in an interview with the state broadcaster ERR.
On April 22, EU ambassadors approved funding for Ukraine in the amount of €90 billion and the 20th package of sanctions against Russia after Hungary and Slovakia lifted their vetoes. On April 24, the head of the European diplomatic service, Kaja Kallas, announced that the leaders of the community’s countries had begun preparing the 21st package of restrictions.
