Tehran demands coordination for passage through Strait of Hormuz
The armed forces of Iran continue to control the Strait of Hormuz and urge all vessels to refrain from passing through it without coordination with Tehran.
This was stated by the commander of the central headquarters of Iranian troops 'Khatam-al-Anbiya,' Ali Abdollahi.
'We are making every effort to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz and manage the situation. We urge all merchant ships and oil tankers to refrain from any actions to pass through without coordination with the armed forces stationed in the Strait of Hormuz, so that their safety is not jeopardized,' he said, as quoted by the Iranian state broadcasting company.
Abdollahi warned that any foreign armed forces, especially the U.S. military, will be subjected to strikes if they attempt to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz.
