American business pleased: Musk says meetings in China are going wonderfully
Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk stated that meetings between US and China delegations in Beijing are going wonderfully and already producing good results, RIA Novosti reports.
On May 14, official talks between the leaders of China and the US – Xi Jinping and Donald Trump – took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The meeting lasted about two hours. During it, Trump stated that he had brought the world's largest businessmen to China to develop trade.
"Wonderful... A lot of good," Musk said in response to a question about what had already been achieved during the meetings in Beijing.
Other businessmen accompanying Trump during his visit to China also responded positively to the ongoing negotiations there.
For example, Apple CEO Tim Cook responded to the same question by raising both thumbs.
"The meetings went well... Mr. Xi and President Trump were magnificent," Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, in turn, described the negotiations.
Before the visit, the US president promised that during negotiations with Xi Jinping he would first ask his colleague to "open" China for the work of American companies. He also noted that he would be accompanied by the heads of the largest American companies, including Huang, Musk, Cook, Boeing president Kelly Ortberg, Goldman Sachs chief executive David Solomon, and BlackRock head Larry Fink.
