Court in Kyiv arrests Andriy Yermak
The High Anti-Corruption Court in Kyiv has placed former head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak under arrest.
The court left Yermak the opportunity to be released on bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnia ($3.2 million).
Yermak himself, speaking about the bail, stated that he does not have that kind of money. According to him, the lawyer will discuss this issue with his friends and acquaintances.
Yermak is a suspect in a case involving the legalization of 460 million hryvnia ($10 million) in the construction near Kyiv of the elite complex Dynasty.
Yermak did not admit guilt. “I reject all charges,” he stated at the court hearing on May 12. Yermak’s lawyer said that the prosecution’s position is based on assumptions.
