Media: Pentagon prepared plans in case of strikes on Iran
US President Donald Trump held a meeting with his national security team over the weekend, the meeting concerned possible further actions by Washington in relation to Iran, CNN reported.
According to its information, the meeting took place at the golf club of the American leader in the state of Virginia. Among others present at the meeting were Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and Special Envoy of the head of the American administration Steve Witkoff.
It is noted that the head of the White House is expected to hold a repeat meeting with representatives of the national security team during the week.
The television company indicates that the Pentagon has prepared several plans regarding strikes on Iran in case Trump decides to resume hostilities against the Islamic Republic. The list of targets, writes CNN, includes objects of Iranian energy and infrastructure.
