120 CIS representatives will observe elections in Armenia

120 CIS representatives will observe elections in Armenia

Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Armenia Vaagn Ovakimyan received a delegation of the CIS observer mission for the elections, headed by Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth Nurlan Seytimov, the press service of the CEC reports.

"The CIS will send a total of 120 observers to the upcoming elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia," the Central Election Commission reported.

The regular parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 7. 19 political forces have submitted applications to the CEC of Armenia to participate in them: 17 parties and 2 party blocs will take part in the elections.

According to the Central Election Commission, the elections will also include the Civil Contract party headed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenia bloc headed by former President of the country Robert Kocharyan, and the Strong Armenia bloc of Samvel Karapetyan, which is headed by his nephew Narek Karapetyan. The Strong Armenia bloc included the parties Strong Armenia, New Era, and United Armenians.
