Kallas: countries cooperating with Russia and Iran may lose funding
The European Union (EU) may reduce support to developing countries if they support Russia or Iran.
This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas.
"If a partner supports Russia or Iran, then it must show flexibility so that we can restructure our interaction in this case," the Euractiv platform quotes her as saying.
It is noted that Kallas did not specify how the new approach could be enshrined in policy.
According to her, the EU needs to maintain a balance between continuing assistance and protecting its own interests.
