Mirzoyan: Armenia not interested in severing relations with Russia
Armenia is not interested in severing relations with Russia, Armenian Foreign Minister (on pre-election leave) Ararat Mirzoyan told journalists, commenting on the statement of the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that the actions of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had put Yerevan's relations with Russia, the CSTO, and the EAEU at risk.
"Armenia is not interested in severing political, economic, and other ties with Russia," Mirzoyan said.
According to him, Yerevan wants and will work to maintain natural relations with the Russian side.
When asked why such statements are coming from Russia in that case, Mirzoyan did not respond. He suggested that journalists make their own assumptions.
