Rubio: Trump's path opens the way to peace for Armenia and the South Caucasus region
Trump's Path (TRIPP) opens the way to peace for Armenia and the South Caucasus region.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Yerevan at a joint briefing with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at Zvartnots Airport.
The briefing was preceded by the signing of documents on cooperation within the TRIPP project, as well as the extraction and processing of minerals.
Thanking for the reception, Rubio noted that it was an honor for him to sign the cooperation agreement within this project, calling it "a historic step." He said that for Armenia and the region, this is a path to peace.
According to the secretary of state, cooperation does not end there; the primary task is to develop relations for the benefit of both peoples. To this end, a document on the extraction and processing of critical minerals has been signed, he added. According to Rubio, this industry provides economic independence and access to new technologies.
"We are ready to work together so that the countries and economies of Armenia and the US have reliable access to minerals," the secretary of state added.
According to him, the activities of the Armenian team open the way to a better future for Armenia. "We are glad to contribute to this and are ready to work for the future. We are proud to be part of this and are ready to do more together," Rubio promised.
