"Full and absolute support": Trump speaks in favor of Pashinyan's re-election
President of the United States Donald Trump has come out with open support for Nikol Pashinyan in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia on June 7.
In the Truth Social social network, the head of the White House called the Armenian prime minister a "great friend and leader" who is making his country "strong, rich and very safe."
"Nikol fully shares my vision of peace and prosperity for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus region. Our Secretary of State Marco Rubio has just made a visit to Armenia, where he advanced several important deals for both our countries. Soon the United States and Armenia together will lay the foundation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, which will transform the South Caucasus and help our wonderful American energy companies gain access [to markets] from Central Asia to the United States themselves," Trump wrote.
"For these reasons, Nikol receives my full and absolute support for re-election on June 7, 2026. With the help of Nikol, we will raise the United States, Armenia, the South Caucasus and Central Asia to a greater height than ever before," he added.
