Axios: US and Iran agree on 60-day memorandum on ceasefire

The US and Iran have agreed on a 60-day memorandum of understanding providing for the extension of the ceasefire regime and the start of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.

This is reported by Axios citing two American officials and a regional source involved in mediation efforts.

At the same time, according to the publication, US President Donald Trump has not yet given final approval to the document.

As Axios notes, the signing of the memorandum could become the most significant diplomatic breakthrough since the start of the war. At the same time, achieving a full-fledged agreement that takes into account Trump's demands on Iran's nuclear program will require further intensive negotiations.
