Death toll in Lebanon from Israeli attacks reaches 3,324
Israeli aviation and artillery continue to strike southern and eastern areas of Lebanon, killing 55 people and wounding 187 there in a day.
The republic's Health Ministry reported this.
"The total number of citizens killed since the start of the military escalation on March 2 has reached 3,324, and the wounded - 10,027," the department's summary published on X states.
It notes that an Israeli drone for the first time since May 6 struck the southern outskirts of Beirut, Shuweifat, where one woman and two children were killed.
In the second half of the day on Thursday, May 28, the settlements of Aita al-Jabal, Barashit, Deir Ames, Deir Kanun, Dibbin, Kfar Dunin, Teir Dibba, and Yater were subjected to massive bombings. Their residents were warned by the Israeli command about the impending airstrikes, but not all left their homes.
In some places, rescuers extracted the killed and wounded from under the rubble of destroyed buildings, their numbers are being clarified.
In Nabatieh, employees of the local civil defense service ensured the evacuation from the city of 133 families, who were taken to the north of the country.
